Cathy Corison

Winemaker, Corison Winery, Napa Valley.

Cathy is one of the most talented winemakers in California. She has been working in Napa since 1978, when she was an intern at Freemark Abbey. From there, she spent three vintages at Yverdon on Spring Mountain and a noteworthy decade at Chappellet. She doesn't like to call herself a consultant, but she has also made Cabernet at Staglin, York Creek and Long Meadow Ranch. Now at her own Corison winery, she makes some of the most elegant and long-lived California cabernet. She is a dynamic woman who has broken down many barriers in the American wine business and still goes against the grain beautifully. She joins The Guys to talk about wineamaking in California, women in the wine business and the wines of her heart, Corazon.

The Restaurant Guys

Who Are The Restaurant Guys? Every week, Francis Schott and Mark Pascal host the Restaurant Guys, a show that's as informative as it is fun. Francis and Mark own Stage Left Restaurant in the heart of New Brunswick's theatre district, and, along with their expertise in a wide range of fine dining and wine matters, they bring to the table humor and intelligent conversation, perfect for the midday listener. The show includes discussions and interviews with famous chefs, restaurateurs, wine and food writers, critics; and the Guys even give stuff away occasionally.
