Bird Flu has been getting a lot of press lately. Is this a real threat or hype? Wendy Orent is an American Anthropologist. She has a special interest in pandemics and is a science writer for The Washington Post. She has published articles in The Sciences, The Los Angeles Times and American Prospect. In the past year she has written a series of articles on the Bird Flu virus and the Flu pandemic. She is an Atlanta based freelance writer. She is the author of Plague: The Mysterious Past and terrifying Future of the Worlds Most Dangerous Disease. She talks to The Guys about her various articles that have received a lot of attention.
