Barry Glassner

Author, The Gospel of Food

Barry Glassner has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, and has written for the New York Times, The wall Street Journal and the Los Angelos Times. He is a professor of sociology at YSC.

In this book Glassner tells us that everything we know about food is wrong. He tells us why we must begin to simply enjoy our foods and abandon food myths and fads. Throughout this book Barry Glassner writes about the lies we are told about food. He accounts to us his discussions with chefs, food chemists, nutritionists and restaurant critics about the way we eat. Glassner offers us theories as to the reasons for the increase in obesity and our obsession behind fast food.
