Gael Greene Returns

Food and Wine Magazine has published its list of the Best Cocktails in America and The Best Cocktail Bars in America. Guess who's on it? <a href=/sle/rg/content/recipes/index.asp?ID=22>The Parasol Cocktail<(invented by us at Catherine Lombardi Cocktail Bar) is the second cocktail pictured in the 223 page Guide. The guide also lists the best places in America to get a great cocktail, lists only four establishments in NJ and The Restaurant Guys own two of them. In addition to Stage Left and Catherine Lombardi, Bar Majestic in Jersey City is listed and so is The Pluckemin Inn.

The guys are joined by Gael Green a well-known restaurant critic. She was a long time restaurant critic for the New York magazine, writing the column Insatiable critic. She joins us to discuss her most recent and highly praised novel Insatiable- Tales From a Life of Delicious Excess, now out in paperback. Gael talks about her book, recent reviews, the Frank Bruni / Jeffrey Chodrow feud and her involvement as a tour guide with Remote Lands, a luxury tour designer focused exclusively on Asia.

The Restaurant Guys

Who Are The Restaurant Guys? Every week, Francis Schott and Mark Pascal host the Restaurant Guys, a show that's as informative as it is fun. Francis and Mark own Stage Left Restaurant in the heart of New Brunswick's theatre district, and, along with their expertise in a wide range of fine dining and wine matters, they bring to the table humor and intelligent conversation, perfect for the midday listener. The show includes discussions and interviews with famous chefs, restaurateurs, wine and food writers, critics; and the Guys even give stuff away occasionally.
