Claudia Roden is a food writer who travels widely to research her award-winning cookbooks. Born and brought up in Cairo, Ms. Roden has been compiling recipes and investigating their context from a very young age. Her latest book, Arabesque, revisits the subject matter of her seminal 1970 project A Middle Eastern Cookbook, with special focus on the cuisines of Morocco, Turkey, and Lebanon.
