This year, the nation is slated to get a brand new Farm Bill, and of course, not everyone is championing the government's various proposals. The Dept. of Agriculture introduced the 180-plus page proposed Farm Bill in January, and for months, there have been hearings, debates, op-ed pieces, and grass-roots campaigns to change it in a million different ways. So, since it is a complex -- and some would argue convoluted -- piece of legislation, we have a farming expert here with us this morning to make sense of the new Farm Bill -- and what it would take to make everyone happy. Joining us is Tom Philpott, Co-Founder and Co-Director, of North Carolina-based Maverick Farms; he's also an online food editor and an agricultural blogger.

The Restaurant Guys

Who Are The Restaurant Guys? Every week, Francis Schott and Mark Pascal host the Restaurant Guys, a show that's as informative as it is fun. Francis and Mark own Stage Left Restaurant in the heart of New Brunswick's theatre district, and, along with their expertise in a wide range of fine dining and wine matters, they bring to the table humor and intelligent conversation, perfect for the midday listener. The show includes discussions and interviews with famous chefs, restaurateurs, wine and food writers, critics; and the Guys even give stuff away occasionally.
