Chef Scott Conant

Chef Scott Conant of L'Impero and Alto Restaurants in New York City does his own take on Italian cooking in New York City and The Guys are fans. They talk about Italian restaurants, regional Italian restaurants, Italian-American restaurants and ... well ... fake Italian Restaurants. Is there a preconceived prejudice against Italian cuisine in favor of French? Must you cook French to be four-star? The Guys don't think so and neither does Scott. They also discuss Scott's new cookbook "Scott Conant's New Italian Cooking." You can find Scott's recipe for a simple White Bean and Escarole Soup or a more ambitious Sauteed Turbot with Sea Urchin Emulsion.

The Restaurant Guys

Who Are The Restaurant Guys? Every week, Francis Schott and Mark Pascal host the Restaurant Guys, a show that's as informative as it is fun. Francis and Mark own Stage Left Restaurant in the heart of New Brunswick's theatre district, and, along with their expertise in a wide range of fine dining and wine matters, they bring to the table humor and intelligent conversation, perfect for the midday listener. The show includes discussions and interviews with famous chefs, restaurateurs, wine and food writers, critics; and the Guys even give stuff away occasionally.
