Bill Grimes was once The Drinking Man columnist for Esquire Magazine. He's written for The New York Time where he was restaurant critic from 1997-2003. He's also authored, among other works, our favorite book on cocktails, Straight Up or On The Rocks: The Story of The American Cocktail. And he's currently working on a new book about the history of dining in New York. Grimes is one of the most eloquent of all food writers.
